Registering a box, end to end

Seven steps, two of which are emails. The only flow in the product that involves a password.

passerby, no account curator, signed in the system

curator Finds the site, lands on home, clicks Register a box
↓
curator Fills in four fields, email, password, box name, address
↓
system Makes the account unverified, sends the verify email, shows check your email
↓
if they never click
The account sits unverified and the box never appears on the map. Nothing is published and no reminder gets sent. 1
↓
curator Opens the email, clicks Put my box on the map
↓
system Verifies, signs them in, places the map pin, sends the welcome email
↓
curator Lands on the dashboard with an empty inventory and one button 2
↓
curator Adds eight or ten books, scanning or typing

Where this flow can go wrong

wrong email typed
Nothing arrives. They re register, which makes a second unverified account. Harmless, since neither one is on the map.
link expires after 24 hours
The email itself says to just sign up again, so the dead end has an exit printed on it before they hit it.
two people register the same box
Two pins, same corner. Nobody steps in, because there is no staff. The fix is social, one of them deletes theirs. 3
password forgotten months later
Goes out to the reset flow, which is its own three pages.
